Anonymous Man Spent Over $1,000 at a Denny’s Paying for Other People’s Food

When asked why, he said, ‘Family is everything, I’ve lost all mine’

An anonymous man paid it forward to several customers at a Utah Denny’s and to his waitress, a single mother. A Love What Matters Facebook post details the incident.

The man specifically requested a waitress who is a single mother, and the Denny’s employee complied with the odd request. They recount how he sat at the restaurant for two hours just watching people. During that time, seven families dined at the restaurant and the man paid for all of their bills, totaling over $1,000.

When asked why he did this, the man said, “Family is everything, I’ve lost all mine.” Lastly, he left his waitress a $1,500 tip for his $21 meal. The Denny’s employee said that the waitress, Crystal, was living in a shelter with her son at the time, and because of his generosity she and her son were able to find a new place to live.

The employee writes, “You left before any of us could say thank you, I hope you read this because you’re truly an amazing person and you stole the hearts of every one of us here. Thank you.”
