Pepsi Perfect From 'Back To The Future' Is Actually Happening

Pepsi will release Pepsi Perfect, the elusive drink Marty McFly orders in Back to the Future II, on October 21, 2015, the exact date that McFly travels into the future, the company has announced.

The "perfect" pop will be available in a limited release of 6,500 Pepsi Perfect bottles — available exclusively online.

Each of the collectible bottles will be presented in a special collectible case, "filled with Pepsi Made with Real Sugar," a newer name for Pepsi Throwback, which, as you may have guessed, uses cane sugar instead of the standard high-fructose corn syrup. To be clear, that means that Pepsi Perfect is not a newer, more perfect version of Pepsi.

Each 16.9 ounce bottle will be available for $20.15 — a steal compared to the $50 Doc Brown gives Marty in the film to buy it.

Closer to October 21, Pepsi has promised to release more details about how to acquire Pepsi Perfect.

However — if you absolutely cannot wait until the 21st, you can also get a free bottle during New York Comic Con, Thursday, October 8 through Friday, October 11.

All you have to do is dress up as Marty McFly and visit the Pepsi Perfect booth between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday, or 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.  from Friday through Sunday. The first 200 people to show up each day will be rewarded with their very own Pepsi Perfect.
