Fire and Water: Minimal Water Bottle Keeps You Hydrated and Helps Light Fires

Minimal Design Company has launched a Kickstarter to fund the project

MWB can be rolled up to a quarter of its size and features an eight-foot paracord and flint.

Minimal Design Company has created a water bottle that fills what it sees as a gap in the water bottle market. Its invention, the Minimal Water Bottle (MWB), is described as “a complete survival tool” on the company’s Kickstarter.

MWB is made with “durable high-grade silicone” and rolls up for easy storage to a quarter of its size. It also features an eight-foot paracord and a flint Firestarter. On this attachment piece, the company writes, “While designing the MWB, we wanted a feature piece that would make our bottle distinguishable from anything out there. So, we put our efforts into the attachment piece. We wanted it to compliment the person holding the bottle, its environment, and of course the bottle itself.”

The company has raised more than $6,000 of its $11,525 goal. There are 51 days left of the campaign. A $30 pledge will get you a MWB in black or white and is estimated to be delivered in October 2016.
