LXR & Co. Opens Flagship SoHo Retail Spot Featuring The Popular Birkin Bar
After seeing notable success as a pop-up holiday boutique in late 2013, LXR & Co. has taken the next step and opened a full-time retail space in New York City. Opened in SoHo early this month, the luxury goods store should be a welcome hit to the affluent neighborhood. The store gives LXR & Co's customers a physical location to see and purchase products from brands like Chanel, Dior, Gucci Louis Vuitton, and other high-end fashion designers. It also gives guests a chance to revisit the popular staple of the pop-up store, the Birkin Bar, where top-tier Hermes Birkin handbags can be examined firsthand.

While elements of the two-month holiday store have remained intact, the store as a whole has received a major facelift. Nearly unrecognizable from its original setting, architect Gregory Okshteyn has made sweeping changes to the design and layout of the store.
In regards to expanding from the digital marketplace to physical retail, LXR & Co. Founder and CEO Frederick Mannella said, "There are great synergies between our online business and brick-and-mortar stores, the daily contact with our clients allows us to better understand their needs and aspirations. Being in SoHo also gives us access to an international clientele that we don't reach online today."
Adorned with the intriguing art of Mike Frederigo and custom bodies-in-motion displays created by fashion filmmaker Jenna Elizabeth, the store has an obvious appreciation for inventive aesthetics. This makes for an interesting and unique luxury shopping experience when set against the often-stoic atmosphere offered at many likewise upmarket locations.
Considering the store opened right in time for New York City's Fashion Week, they are likely to create a substantial and immediate impact on both the city's posh residents and its highly fashionable visitors.
