Las Vegas Club Offers $1,500, $2,000 Cocktails
Somehow, the trend of pricey drinks that are way out of our budget is still going on, with Las Vegas nightclub Light (of course) recently opening at Mandalay Bay with two ridiculously expensive drinks: The City of Lights and My Cherry Amor.
Amid Cirque du Soleil performers, giant LED screens, and 100-foot bars, multimillionaires can order The City of Lights for $1,500 a glass, or My Cherry Amor for $2,000, Eater reports. No big deal, just small change.
The drinks, courtesy of the collaboration between The Light Group and Cirque du Soleil, showcase the rare Hennessy Paradis Imperial or Dom Pérignon Rosé.
City of Lights ($1,500) starts off with Hennessy Paradis Imperial, plus Bulleit Rye, Cocchi Barolo Chinato, Benedictine, Peychaud's and Angostura bitters. It's poured over "diamond ice," or ice shaped like diamonds, and garnished with an orange peel.
In the meantime, My Cherry Amor chakes together Grey Goose Cherry Noir, Grand Marnier Cherry, and lemon juice, with the whole mixture is topped with Dom Pérignon Rosé, a Luxardo cherry, and a lemon twist. None of this is surprising for the Las Vegas scene, but seriously, where's the edible gold?
