Inspired by the Bohemian vibe of the Condesa neighborhood of Mexico City, executive chef Rene Ortiz presents contemporary Mexican cuisine with a traditional flair. While you’re waiting for your order take a look at La Condesa’s tequila selection, with more than 100 varieties you are sure to find at least one to suit your liking.

  • This luxe Tex-Mex spot's offering up five kinds of ceviche, guava-glazed pork ribs, and three-day mole duck breasts.
  • Chef Rene Ortiz's take on modern Mexican cuisine. Not to miss: the riffs on guacamole, the wild tacos, the cocktails, and pastry chef Laura Sawicki's ice creams. [Eater 38 Member]
  • start with the alma blanca. maybe some of that corn too. then pick anything else from the menu -- you can't go wrong. (chef ortiz used to work at la esquina back in new york city!)
  • Wow, the reviews are absolutely misleading! Mediocre dishes paired with poor service. Definitely not worth the almost $300 we spent!
  • Perennial fave La Condesa reflects the culinary trends of Mexico City's hip neighborhood Colonia Condesa. Feeling adventurous? Try the chapulines a Oaxacan specialty of tiny fried grasshoppers.
  • Forget well tequila shots and sugary margaritas. Hit this swanky restaurant and bar for modern drinks with Latin spirits. The Margarita La Condesa will change your perception of margaritas forever.
  • Favorites include the huitlacoche huarache and the refreshing crab toastadas.
  • The Rotisserie chicken salad (Pollo Rostizado) is phenom. Best chicken I have ever had.
  • Come for the guacamole and tequila selection, stay for a great selection of tacos, huaraches and other gourmet Mexican goodness.
  • Do a tequila taste test with more than 80 varieties, all offered by this eclectic Mexican restaurant. One unique & favorite dish is the costillas de Puerco: pork ribs with plaintains, onions, & cheese
  • One preparation you will never encounter anywhere else is costillas de puerco, pork ribs glazed with spicy guava and served with sweet plantains, pickled onions, fresh cheese, green salsa, & cilantro.
  • Overpriced, overhyped. Have had much more inspired Mexican food at far lower prices. Service was awful. I'm being kind here.
  • Slow and distracted service. Food wasn't great either as some dishes were not at their best. It's the details they're missing but when you add them up, you end up having a disappointing dinner.
  • One of the best mexican restaurants you'll ever find outside of Mexico. You can't go wrong with the carne asada with chimichurri and the four salsas sampler!
  • Wait forever, check.
  • 2 dollar bloody Marys and mimosas at brunch, yes.
  • Some may say a bit overpriced, but the ambiance and flavor of the dishes make it a worth while jaunt. Explore their drink menu liberally, it'll knock your sombrero off!
  • The coles de bruselas...AMAZING!!!
  • The watermelon elderflower martini is fantastic. Definitely recommend it.
  • Order Huitlacoche Huaraches
