How H.R. Giger Left His Mark On The Food Industry
In our time, we've been blessed with the opportunity to witness first hand musicians, artists and chefs leave an indelible mark on the world around us. Unfortunately in these times of wonder and awe, we also witness their sad departure. Today is one of those awful days for Sci-Fi fans and art enthusiasts alike.
Artist H.R. Giger, most famously known for his Alien design and creation, passed away at the age of 74 today, May 13, 2014 from complications resulting from injuries related to a fall.
While the Oscar winning artist contributed much to the world of design and art, he didn't leave this world without making his mark in the food and drink industries. The HR Giger Bar in Gruyeres, Switzerland is a haunting awe-inspiring place where you can imbibe yourself among some of his most elaborate creates. From the walls to the chairs and even the bar you are surrounded by an almost dream-like (or nightmarish) decor with sprawling spinal and bony designs.
