A blend of fava beans, garlic, lemon juice, tomato, and olive oil that is served as a mezze dish or at breakfast.

Ingredients

  • Four 15-ounce cans fava beans
  • 4 pieces crushed garlic
  • 1 cup chopped tomato
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice

Directions

In a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients together. Transfer to a pot and heat over low heat until warm. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve with pitas.
