Fortune Cookies Are Even Better When They're Full Of Toy Cats
Fortune cookies are a fun way to end a meal, especially if one winds up with a particularly rude or wacky fortune inside. But one Japanese company has figured out how to improve fortune cookies even beyond the game of adding "in bed" to the end of every fortune, because they did away with fortunes entirely and just stuffed the cookies with toy cats.
According to Rocket News 24, the Felissimo company–purveyors of fine, cat-related novelty goods everywhere–have started selling packages of crispy rice crackers wrapped in triangles. They come in packs of two, and each one has a cute little hand-crafted figurine of a fat kitten inside.
Both cookies in a set contain the same color cat, but in different positions, so they might both be tabbies, but one will be sleeping and the other waving. There are multiple colors available, so avid cat-fanciers can try to collect them all.
The "Hide and Seek Kitty Candy" sets sell for $20 for two cat-containing crackers, and given the Internet's appetite for cute food and all things cat, they seem likely to sell out quickly.
