Feast Portland Kicks Off Thursday: Here Are Some Hidden Gems


The 3rd annual Feast Portland event kicks off this Thursday and runs through Sunday. Despite some pricey events—many of which are sold-out—there are some real gems still available. We have more info, for instance, on the sour beer seminar that Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery founder Christian de Benedetti is moderating that will include rare beers and guest brewers.

 Thursday September 18
Widmer Brothers Brewing Sandwich Invitational presented by Dave’s Killer Bread will pit 14 of America’s top chefs against each other in a battle to create the best sandwich ever – and you’ll be the judge. Feast Portland’s raucous kickoff event takes over Director Park on Thursday, September 18th from 6-9pm. Enjoy local Widmer Brothers beer, Northwest wines, and superb cocktails as you taste-test over a dozen sandwiches and cast your vote. I cant wait for this one, and it’s almost sold out. A Walk on the Sour Side – Craft brewers are turning out some deliciously super sour beers these days, so let our panel of beer geeks explain the process while you sit back and enjoy the final product. Our panelists have procured some mighty fine sour beers including Ale Apothecary’s Sahalie, as well as The Common’s Trillium that would tempt even the most ardent wine lover in the audience.
