Fantastic Cocktails That Can Be Enjoyed Outside While You Wait

If you're lucky enough to make it to Donald Link's much-celebrated restaurant, Cochon, in the great city of New Orleans, make sure you get there a little early to enjoy one of the creative concoctions served at the bar. The best part, or perhaps my favorite, is that you can enjoy your beverage while sunning yourself outside — you gotta love Nola.

One of the highlights on the menu is a spicy bloody mary garnished with the Southern cooking-favorite, okra. Or, for a lighter and more refreshing beverage, try the Swimming Hole, concocted with Square One Cucumber Vodka, Midnight Moon Strawberry Moonshine, and Barritt's Ginger Bee. And if your wait is really long, you can always order a glass of sparkling wine and some wood-fired oysters. You won't be sorry.
