Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line rimmed baking sheet with foil and place wire rack on top of baking sheet, leaving enough room to collect bacon drippings.
To assemble rose buds, roll each slice of bacon tightly, starting with the widest end and the fat edge down.
Insert two toothpicks as close as possible to the bottom of the roll, pinning the end of the bacon slice against the bud and forming an “X” with the toothpicks. This will hold your bacon rose bud together and keep it upright during the baking process.
Place each bacon rose bud on the wire rack, toothpick side down.
Bake in preheated oven for 25-35 minutes or until the bacon is golden brown and cooked thoroughly. Let cool for 5 minutes then remove toothpicks.
Remove all petals from fake flower stems and insert another toothpick into stem base for added support, if needed. Secure the bacon rose bud to the flower stem.
