Ecliptic Brewing + Pelican Nebula Collaboration Release

In early July, Whitney Burnside and Darron Welch of Pelican Brewing Company and John Harris from Ecliptic Brewing Company combined forces for the first time ever to create Pelican Nebula: An Oregon Uncommon Ale. Taking inspiration from the "Common" or "Steam" beers of the West Coast frontier era, Pelican Nebula also takes its name from the stargazing theme of Ecliptic Brewing Company and the Pelican Nebula itself. The new collaboration beer celebrates its release later this week at Ecliptic Brewing.

Pelican Nebula

is a first-ever collaboration brew between John Harris of Ecliptic Brewing and Pelican Brewing. Taking inspiration from the "Common" or "Steam" beers of the West Coast frontier era, Pelican Nebula also takes its name from the stargazing theme of Ecliptic Brewing and the Pelican Nebula itself. With a grain bill of Pale Ale, Vienna, and Munich malts, the malty backbone of this beer has both a richness and a toasted dryness. Blended Aramis and Meridian hops provide floral, earthy notes with a distinct tangerine tangerine character. Fermentation with lager yeast at ale temperatures gives this beer its distinctive fruity aroma and clean lager-like finish.

Pelican Nebula will be available in draft only at Ecliptic Brewing and at the Pelican Tap Room in Tillamook, as well as the Pelican Pub & Brewery in Pacific City while supplies last. For more information on other locations pouring this rare ale, follow us on twitter.
