Crab Week Kicks Off At Lure In Midtown Atlanta
For a fun twist on the traditional themed restaurant week menu, head to Lure in East Midtown for "Crab Week." Offered through Saturday, Dec. 17, Lure's Crab Week features five unique crab dishes to craft an entire meal.
Start with the Jonah Crab, a fresh, acidic salad featuring farro, tarragon, and blood oranges along with chunks of crab. This refreshing, light combination is plated on top of a rich, tangy crème fraîche. The components mix tartly together with delicious texture and flavor (you'll almost forget you're eating a salad).
Next, order the Deviled Crab, which is delicately breaded with brioche and baked in a cast-iron skillet and topped with scallions. The dish is similar in consistency and taste to a crab cake (but not rolled in a cake shape). Use crackers to spoon the chunks of tasty crab out of the pan. The scallions add a satisfying crunch to each bite.
End with the Blue Crab, which comes in a cast-iron bowl with crispy pork belly and a poached egg that, when blended together in the anise broth, is creamy perfection with a little jalapeño kick to the bite. The savory, tender pork belly melts in your mouth, its richness enhanced by the egg. This hearty, filling dish is ideal for a chilly evening.
Lure's Crab Week is a fun addition to Atlanta's lineup of themed dining experiences that includes October's CHG Restaurant Week with featured events at each of the Castellucci restaurants (Double Zero, Iberian Pig, Cooks & Soldiers, etc.), and the neighborhood restaurant weeks, including Inman Park Restaurant Week, Midtown Restaurant Week, and Downtown Restaurant Week. There are so many reasons to go out to dinner in the city these days!
