The 5 Ugliest Foods on Earth

Hopefully these taste better than they look

Pure nightmare fuel.

We eat with our eyes before our mouths, which is unfortunate when it comes to these foods, which are downright hideous. Hopefully they taste good, because if they don’t, then they really don’t have anything going for them.

When cooked, haggis looks like a bloated, overcooked sheep’s stomach, because that’s exactly what it is. A putrid shade of greenish brown, the stomach is cut open to reveal an unappealing-looking mixture of ground up heart, liver, and lungs mixed with onion, oatmeal, and fat. Blech.

Also called giant clam, the geoduck has a neck (or siphon) that can grow up to three feet long. Uhhh… no, thanks.

This grotesque beast of the North Sea is so unbelievably ugly it’s a miracle than anybody thought to eat it in the first place.

Not only does this fruit smell terrible and taste like a mixture of various rotting vegetables, it also looks like a medieval torture device.

Alaskan King Crab

The spider of your nightmares. Can you imagine seeing one of these crawling across your bedroom floor in the middle of the night?
