Foursquare Tips

  • I really shouldn't put this, because it is LIC's best kept secret. Beautiful interior, great drinks and nice staff.
  • Modeled after an 1890s "gentleman's tavern," the newest bar from local hero mixologist Richard Boccato serves classic cocktails made with hand-cut ice and pub food from the local Sage General Store.
  • Relaxed atmosphere with easygoing bartenders who can make any drink you can think of. Weve heard that the Cherry Daiquiri is particularly good.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday there is always a phenomenal piano player to complement the extraordinary classic drinks and to transport you to another time ... blissfully.
  • Dutch Kills is Uber NYC HQ's favorite bar for extremely well-made cocktails after work. A few of our favorites: The Moscow Mule, the michelada, and cider with rye.
  • Try a Stay Up Later (pisco, mezcal, aejo rum, lemon, and seltzer), a Stepping Razor Blade (rum, lemon, orgeat, and cayenne), or a Bicycle Thief (gin, Campari, grapefruit, lemon, and seltzer).
  • Likely the best mixed drinks you'll find in Queens. Feel free to put yourself in the bartender's hands and order off-menu.
  • All you have to know is that this cocktail joint hand-writes a fresh menu every day and then they deliver. They're Generals of Gin. They're Captains of Cognac. Theyre Bosses of Brandy. Trust them.
  • The manliest drinks on the planet reside here. No nonsense, no muss, no fuss. If the kitchen is open, definitely get the grilled cheese and kale chips!
  • ... and the restrooms have linen hand towels that you use and throw into a hamper to be laundered. Talk about pampering ... and at far lower than Manhattan prices.
  • People seem to like it. I mean, if hanging out with cast of 30 Rock after they wrap at Silvercup Studios is your thing...
  • Had a Verrazano and never thought Staten Island would taste so good.
  • The bartenders are psychic.
  • Possibly the best NYC bar I've been to. Tell the bartenders what you're in the mood for and they'll whip up the most scrumptious concoction you've ever tasted.
  • This place epitomizes why I live in Queens: well-crafted cocktails, speakeasy style, and completely lacking in pretension.
  • Come at 5pm to catch the skylight. Worth the hustle.
  • Gordon's Breakfast is the best cocktail I've ever had: Worcester sauce, hot sauce, cucumber, gin. Slightly spicy.
  • Fav bar in Queens. Live piano and bass player on weeknights, and killer cocktails.
  • In a non-descript two floor brick building between a transmission shop and a taxi lot, Dutch Kills is an unmarked gem, save for a neon BAR sign. The vibe has always been deliberately divey and fun.
  • Order their signature Don Lockwood cocktail, which is a flavorful mix of chocolate and maple.
