For travelers who want to see the world food first, Discovery Adventures has developed a new gourmet adventure tour to Argentina and Chile. The tour operator Discovery Adventures — a partnership between Discovery Communications and G Adventures — has created travel adventure packages to destinations worldwide. The brand-new "Argentina and Chile Gourmet Adventure," offers "sophisticated traveling foodies a journey into the world of South American food and wine," according to a press release.

The 12-day tour will include an array of culinary events, all guided by industry experts. Some of the highlights of the Argentina and Chile Gourmet Adventure tour include a journey through wineries with tastings in the Maipo Valley, a three-day exploration of the Mendoza region including a full-day wine tour with a gourmet lunch and cooking class, and a trip to Buenos Aires featuring lessons by a professional chef at an organic Planeterra-supported farm home for youth. For two days, participants of the adventure tour will also stop at a rural estancia guest ranch, to enjoy homemade meals using local ingredients, as well as get a taste of gaucho life and traditions.

"With epicurean travel being one of the latest trends in tourism, we are thrilled to offer a 12-day customized itinerary centered on Latin America’s gourmet decadence to our Discovery Adventures’ participants," said Jackie Garrity, innovation manager for G Adventures.

The Argentina and Chile Gourmet Adventure tour starts in Santiago and ends in Buenos Aires, and includes daily breakfast, accommodations, transportation, a certified driver/guide, as well as an array of educational tours.
