Democrats, Republicans Agree On Coke, Not Much Else

Several staff members at The Daily Meal think Congress would run more smoothly if people just brought in two puppies, but it looks like Coca-Cola might be the answer.

Buyology, a consulting firm, surveyed more than 4,000 Americans and found that both Democrats and Republicans preferred Coca-Cola.

Then again, the similarities stopped there.

Democrats preferred Wendy's for fast-food, while Republicans chose Subway.

As for coffee? Democrats mostly chose Starbucks; Republicans chose Dunkin' Donuts. Perhaps it has something to do with the "America runs on Dunkin'" slogan.

"Both candidates and brands have never fought harder for our affection and our votes," Buyology CEO Gary Singer told Business News Daily. "It's never been more important to understand why people make the choices that they do. Brands can learn a lot by having a deeper understanding of the deep-seated connections that drive our decision-making." Check out other brands that made the list at Buyology.
