DC At Its Most Venerable
A hop, skip, and jump away from the White House, this wood-paneled establishment is about as DC as you can get. You'll brush shoulders with high-ranking government officials, families celebrating graduation, or groups of old ladies with very fancy hats. This place is popular, so make reservations or expect a wait.
Old Ebbitt Grill is DC's top-grossing restaurant, so they must be doing something right. For brunch, there's Banana French Toast with pecan-honey butter, for lunch, try the crab cake with shoestring sweet potatoes, and for dinner, there is roast turkey with mashed potatoes and the works.
