Wacky Recipe Wednesday Week No. 3
Welcome to the third installment of The Daily Meal's Wacky Wednesday recipe roundup, a series where we reach out to our talented Culinary Content Network of food bloggers and request their strangest, weirdest, and most interesting recipes — creations so "wacky" they make you pause and ask, "Wait...what are you making?"
"Wacky" could mean a strange flavor pairing or interesting cooking method, or it could mean a dish has an absurd presentation or ridiculous background story. No one really knows what craziness Wacky Wednesday will rake in, but I can tell you this: We are definitely having some fun with it.
This week we are featuring recipes with wacky cooking techniques; check them out here:
Coffee-Maker Spaghetti
Coffee Machine Cuisine founder Katja Wulff has developed quite the cult following with her strange creations made exclusively in a coffee-maker. Her cooking method is certainly wacky, and this awesomely weird spaghetti and sausage recipe definitely fits our criteria. Click here to read more.
Slow-Cooker Sticky Caramel Pumpkin Cake
Something strange happened to Platter Talk's cake... It ended up in his slow-cooker; and when it came out, it looked like this. Swoon. Get the recipe here.
Grilled Cupcakes
Girls Can Grill throws her cupcakes on the grill during the hot summer grilling months — it makes you wonder whether the smokiness of the grill affects the taste... for better or for worse. Click here for the recipe.
Waffle Iron Quesadillas
