Cockroaches Fall From Ceiling At Blue Ribbon Sushi
Want to add a little more crunch to your plate of sushi? The customers at Blue Ribbon Sushi, the critically-acclaimed and celebrity hotspot in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City got more than they bargained for when cockroaches began raining from the ceiling at the restaurant earlier this week. Some of the nasty critters ended up on tables, and one even reportedly ran up a man's leg, according to The Daily Mail.
"These weren't small cockroaches,” one patron told The Observer. "A person from the restaurant said, "Maybe it's about to rain, this hasn't happened before."
The restaurant owners said that they immediately located the source of the infestation, which happened to be next door, called an exterminator and evacuated and exhumed the entire restaurant before the Health Department was able to come by with a new grade for the establishment. Diners also reportedly received half-off their meals.
