Carvel Sells Oreo Cakes For 'A Piece Of The Price'

Carvel, the Atlanta-based ice cream chain, announced via press release that from July 1 through Aug. 18, they will be selling Oreo ice cream cakes starting at $9.99. The promotion, nicknamed "The Great Chill with Oreo," offers Oreo cakes in classic Oreo, mint, cappuccino, and peanut butter flavors. "The Great Chill with Oreo" also features Oreo cookie pieces in famous Carvel Sundae Dashers, Carvelanches, shakes, and Lil' Rounders, as seen on Carvel's official Facebook page.

These affordable treats can be a lovely touch to any summer party. Like all Carvel cakes, the Oreo cakes are handmade, with Oreo ice cream, signature Carvel Ice Cream, and the Carvel famous chocolate crunchies. Carvel announced on its Facebook page that "The cakes are available in all full Carvel shoppes. [They are] not available in grocery stores or our express locations, though."

Carvel vice president of marketing, Lori Peterson, commented on the Carvel-Oreo partnership, "Don't we all love having our favorite ice cream treat over summer break? Oreo cookies are a classic treat and Carvel is proud to partner with an American icon."
