  • I want to keep this place a secret. That should tell you everything you need to know about Cagen.
  • Sit at the chef's table & get the tasting menu.
  • Heard many good things but unfortunately, from the amuse that tasted like laundry water to under seasoned and over cooked fish dishes, was underwhelmed by tasting menu. Save $500 and go elsewhere.
  • The Toro sushi is life changing. Get the Omakase, really well designed. Delicious, Great service, perfect pace.
  • There is simply no excuse to do anything other than sit at the bar and go omakase
  • Simply the best!
  • Only a few pieces of sushi were memorable. A lot of unique fish selections that was interesting however I wasnt a fan of a majority of them. I think the dessert was the best part of the meal tbh
  • exotic fish but atmosphere leaves something to be desired
  • Mixed bag of pieces. I prefer omakases that are entirely sushi and this menu has a lot of prepared, non-sushi dishes.
  • Incredible sushi omakaze menu. I went here for a special occasion, and it did not disappoint. Some of the best sushi I've had in NYC.
  • Everything is good, EVERYTHING
  • Firefly Squid: Can we just leave this on the table as a centerpiece for the next two weeks? No, that would be gross? Fine, well eat it.
  • Love. Just get the omakase. Between the rare fish (rainbow trout) and the preparations (uni hand roll), this might beat my favorite NY sushi place. I didn't think that was possible. Count me amazed.
  • omakase was amazing! fish was very fresh, and the seasonings were very good compliments without overwhelming fish taste. also recommend the yuzu sorbet
  • Omakase was well worth it!!
  • Soba course was truly excellent!!
  • Creme brulee tamago, pickle-toro temaki.... Everything!
  • Omakase 7-course at the sushi bar. Delicious, great service, clever dishes. Japanese chimichurri with the sashimi? Yes please.
  • Make a reservation for the omakase & never eat mediocre sushi ever again
  • Try the omakasa tasting menu. Perfect amount, perfect fusion and perfect flavors! The red perch is especially good
