Butterbeer, Harry Potter World Heading To Hollywood

So long Curious George; Universal Studios Hollywood has announced that both the Gibson Amphitheater and their Curious George attraction will be closing to make way for butterbeer, Honeydukes, and magic wands at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Colloquially known as Harry Potter World, this immersive experience for wannabe wizards and witches originally opened in the Universal Orland Resort in 2010; the Hollywood version, a press release promises, will be "faithful to the visual landscape of the fiction and films, including Hogwarts castle that will serve as the centerpiece of the impressively themed environment." This will be the third Wizarding World of Harry Potter, as another location in Japan was announced last year.

Harry Potter fans know what this means. Harry Potter's butterbeer, previously only available at the Orlando resort (although many a fan has tried to recreate the recipe), will now be available on the West Coast, as will chocolate frogs from Honeydukes, candy floss, sugar quill lollipops, exploding bonbons, the notorious Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, and Ton-Tongue Toffee, which we hope doesn't really affect our tongues. Now please excuse us as our inner 12-year-olds rejoice at the thought of combining a Los Angeles beach trip with an excursion to Harry Potter land this summer, as we avoid heading down to humid Florida.
