Bucket List Wines, France: Part 2
I published a bucket list for the wines of France two weeks ago and took some grief for it. I try to keep these installments short, so I felt a need to be strict in my selection process. Many people felt I was a little too strict. Here's a smattering of the feedback I received:
"You're right, you should get grief on excluding the great white burgundies, some of the finest expression of chardonnay on the planet."
"Leaving out the chenins of Vouvray is like leaving a continent off your travel bucket list."
"Everybody forgets Côte-Rotie, and they are an unforgettable experience."
"Wow. No champagne?"
As you can see, I have my work cut out for me. In the spirit of the great appeasers, here is my bucket list for France, part two: the conciliation edition!
