Tips

  • Obnoxiously loud music. Inattentive server. Mediocre food. Religiously, I can't eat pork - and yet my dish came out with bacon and my server insisted/argued there was no pork in bacon. Ok? All guys.
  • Official Mizzou bar! On game day they have $4 Bud Light and $5 Goose Island stadium cups - best deal around! They also have Boulevard for all those from Kansas City.
  • Really cool bar in Lincoln park. Great for Mizzou games. EJ does a good job managing this place. Even though it's near DePaul, they don't seem to attract the student crowd. That could be good or bad.
  • Great outdoor seating area!
  • After months of remodeling, the former Charlies space is open (with some Kentucky touches).
  • Official Mizzou bar and the best place to watch games.
  • Quite possibly the worst bar in the history of bars.
  • Trivia nights on Wednesdays are fun. At the end of each round they play a horse race, pick the winner and you get bonus points.
  • Skip the shrimp tacos.
  • The Cobb salad was delicious and the French fries were perfect. Also get a bloody Mary!
  • Bourbon wings an shrimp po boy are amazing!
  • the berry sauce that comes with the hush puppies is delicious!! totally elevates the dish to something more amazing. get them!
  • For a Mizzou Tiger transplant in Chicago, Derby feels like home on game day. Be prepared for a sea of black and gold, and frequent Truman sightings. M-I-Z.
  • Nice outdoor seating area but it closes earlier than the indoor. Good cocktails.
  • Went on the Kentucky Derby. Everyone dressed up and looked amazing. Not the friendliest of crowds that day. Mint juleps all day :)
  • The place to watch Mizzou Tiger football (and basketball, I guess, if we're ever good at that again). Awesome gameday vibe, great specials, and surprisingly good bar food.
  • Chicken fingers are amazing for some reason.
  • On Redeye's list of college bars, Derby is home for Mizzou fans.
  • Great staff and a fun place to watch games with a group.
  • Great outdoor space! Used to be Charlie's Ale House, but better now with new owners. Interesting menu but plenty of variety. The beer garden is a huge draw in the summer.
