With prices this great, you might as well order a whole barrel.
With its “New World attitude and Old World style” as described on its website, The Barrel Room is the perfect location for date night or to bring a visitor from out of town. Founded in Jan. 2007 by Rancho Bernado locals, San Diego's vintage wine bar quickly became a town favorite.
What makes this wine bar unique is its extensive wine list, which is almost as shocking as its low prices.
The mellow setting also boasts a back patio. The wine bar is relatively casual, though a button-up shirt with nice jeans seems to be uniform. The extensive bistro menu and themed tastings like “Napa Cabs for Dad” on Father’s Day are even more ways to enjoy the unique atmosphere.
As the website says, “Once you have experienced The Barrel Room’s delightful menu, the warm, friendly staff, and world-class wine selections, you will know why we have become one of the most popular dining destinations in all North County.”
