Baconfest, Goat Festival Lineups Announced

If you're too stoked for festival season to wait for the Great GoogaMooga or even Sweetgreen's Sweetlife Food and Music Festival, here are two upcoming festivals that might fit the bill.

In Chicago, Baconfest just announced its lineup for the annual porky extravaganza on April 14. The vendor lineup and menu are all available online, but expect the same bacony products we've been writing about for the past weeks: bacon syrup, cheese, ice cream. We're just wondering if the bacon casket will make appearance.

In San Francisco, you can pet some baby goats before eating goat milk products (like cheese and yogurt) on April 21. All the vendor information, plus cooking demo times, is available online.

In Stockton, Calif. (in central California), there's even something named the Asparagus Festival from April 27 to 29. Food options will include deep-fried asparagus, "Asparagus Tri-Tip Sandwiches," asparagus burritos, and pasta. Who knew?
