Artificial Fertilizer Use Levels-Off As Regions Reach State Of Diminishing Returns

Artificial fertilizer use is leveling off and even decreasing in many regions of the world as countries have started to reach a state of diminishing returns. While there exists potential for expanded fertilizer use in some regions of the world, the Earth Policy Institute points out that increased fertilizer application has little to no effect on increasing yields in most countries and at this point in time.
