Alex Stupak Calls Out Vanishing Line Cook On Twitter

Disappearing on the job is seriously bad form, and it's an especially terrible career move when your boss is a prolific Tweeter. Empellón chef and owner Alex Stupak took to Twitter recently to vent his spleen after a line cook decided to quit by sneaking out of the restaurant during service.

Somehow, he managed to effectively summarize the entire situation in just 130 characters, calling out the disappearing line cook by name and warning other chefs to stay away:

"Line cook snuck out during service. That's the weakest most cowardly way to quit ever. His name is Patrick Brooks. Heads up chefs."

The tweet has since vanished as thoroughly as the erstwhile line cook, but the nimble-fingered folks over at Eater caught it before it disappeared. One anonymous commenter over there suggested there could be legal repercussions to the Tweet.

Fans of Stupak, the Alinea and WD-50 vet whom Grant Achatz called "hard core," might want to check out his Twitter, as he's advertising there for "serious line cooks," and he apparently has "lots" of positions open.
