Abbott & Costello Come To Life At The Hi Pointe

The historic Hi Pointe theater, located off the southwest corner of the intersection of Clayton Road & South Skinker, continues its monthly classic films series this Saturday, October 11, with a one-time showing of "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" at 10:30 am. Admission for all ages is $5 per person. Doors open at 10:00 am.

The movie, released in 1948, stars a who's who of the horror movie genre from that era. The cast includes Bela Lugosi, St. Louisan Vincent Price and Lon Chaney, Jr.

The film runs 83 minutes and is not rated, although by today's standard it would be either a G or PG. Recently the Hi Pointe was vote Best Movie Theater of 2014 in St. Louis by the readers of the RFT in their annual survey.
