The 3 St. Louis Beer Festivals We're Excited For This Summer
With a booming craft beer scene, it should be no surprise that St. Louis has some of the country's best beer festivals this summer. The Riverfront Times shared their 11 "can't-miss" food festivals this summer, and the beer ones on the list are musts for summer 2013. Riverfront Time's picks:
June 8: Rhythm and Brews Festival
Twenty Midwest microbreweries head to Hermann, Mo. for a night of live bluegrass (courtesy of the Jeremiah Johnson Band and the Sliders) and brews.
June 14-23: St. Louis Brewers Heritage Festival
What makes this festival so special is that it's St. Louis-specific, thanks to the St. Louis Brewer's Guild. That means more than 80 local brews on tap for the two day-fest.
July 19-20: Belgian Beer and Mussel Mania
From beloved Schlafly Bar, the Belgian beer fest and mussel fest is just, well, Belgians and mussels — and we love it. The two-day festival pairs mussels from Penn Cove, Wash. to go with Schlafly's lineup of beers: Belgian Witbier, Weissbier, Singel, and Biere de Garde. If you didn't believe mussels could go with beer, you've been proven wrong.
