27 Rejected Star Wars Titles
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – "The Phantom Menace," "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of The Jedi." George Lucas is known for the over-the-top titles of his Star Wars films. That is the style he was going for when making the galactic saga. In keeping with that tradition, the filmmakers recently announced the official title to the upcoming 7th Star Wars film, "The Force Awakens."
This is no simple feat. Surely the filmmakers must have gone through several hundreds of possible title drafts before ending with "The Force Awakens." Imagine what some of the rejected versions were.
Luckily the internet has it's cultivated a list of nutty and unusual suggestions. Thanks to the hashtag #rejectedstarwarstitles, we put together some of the oddest and funniest. Which is your favorite?
