Classic Bacon And Cheddar Quiche Recipe

A quiche is a great all-in-one meal that gives you a well-rounded breakfast in just a breeze. This particular quiche recipe features a dairy-filled base with eggs and milk as the base (both of which are typical in quiche) in addition to pre-cooked bacon and cheddar cheese, which are two other breakfast staples. Another great part about this breakfast dish is that it uses pre-made pie crust, which saves you a little bit of time in the kitchen — and that's always a plus in our book!

Recipe developer Christina Musgrave of Tasting With Tina came up with this quick and easy breakfast recipe that makes a great weekday pick-me-up or a weekend brunch. "I love how easy this recipe is with just a few ingredients," Musgrave shares. "I love making a quiche when I have family stay over at our house — it's an easy and impressive breakfast to serve guests, and this version is one I make all the time." Trust us, this dish makes the ultimate breakfast.

Gather the ingredients for this classic bacon and cheddar quiche

To make this classic bacon and cheddar quiche recipe, you will only need a few ingredients, including refrigerated pie crust, milk, and eggs. As the title suggests, you will also need bacon and cheddar cheese. To make things easy, you likely have the last two ingredients at home already — salt and pepper.

If you have a craving for something else, you can always switch ingredients based on preference. "You can use ham, sausage, or turkey bacon in place of bacon and swap any cheese. You can also add in any veggies as well," Musgrave shares.

Once you have those things, you can make this classic bacon and cheddar quiche recipe.

Preheat the oven and prep the pie

To bake this quiche, you will need to use your oven, so go ahead and preheat yours to 350 F.

Grab a 9-inch pie pan and spray it generously with cooking spray. This will prevent the crust from sticking to the bottom because trust us — you don't want to waste any of this. Now, just place your pie crust into the prepared pie pan. "Using a pre-made crust keeps this super easy! I love cutting down the steps to make this quiche as quick as possible," Musgrave explains of her choice to use store-bought crust instead of homemade.

Make the filling

Now, it's time to mix the quiche filling, so grab a large bowl. Start by adding the dairy, including the eggs and cheese. Next, add the pre-cooked bacon, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Use a whisk to mix and combine the ingredients well.

Add filling to pan and bake

Pour the filling into the prepared pie pan and then double-check to be sure your oven has finished preheating. As long as it has, pop the quiche in and bake for 35 minutes.

Once complete, the egg mixture should be set and the crust should achieve a nice golden brown color. "If you're unsure if the quiche is done, take it out and gently wiggle it. If the middle is set, it's ready," Musgrave advises.

Serve and enjoy

Once you remove the quiche from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This quiche is a great all-in-one meal thanks to the eggs, cheese, and bacon, but Musgrave also suggests pairing it with "toast or biscuits."

If you have any extra bites left, be sure to save them for a future breakfast. "Leftovers last 2-3 days and I store in an airtight container in the refrigerator," Musgrave shares.
