Taste of Home
Having a perpetual sweet tooth can be a curse — not only because of the inevitable growth of your midsection, but also because there are times of the year when baking is the last thing we can muster up the energy to do. In the peak of summer, the thought of turning on the oven or even the stovetop is enough to make you melt — there is only so much we can ask our AC units to accomplish.
During these hot and humid months, dessert options typically have been relegated to cold treats, like ice creams and ice pops. Though undeniably refreshing, sometimes these icy desserts just don’t hit the sweet spot. But don’t sweat it (either figuratively or literally); just because you don’t want to heat up your house with the oven this summer doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy freshly baked desserts.
