This Week: Thai Dishes

Thai dishes are often characterized by the use of ingredients like nam pla (fish sauce), lemongrass, green and red chiles, coconut, Kaffir lime, and garlic. Nam pla is one of the more ubiquitous ingredients in Thai cuisine, and, because of it's high level of sodium, the addition of salt should be limited. Or make sure to taste the dishes before seasoning.

Adding such powerful flavoring agents like those found in Thai cuisine is a great way to increase the depth and taste of dishes without adding a lot of fat. You still get a delicious and aromatic dish,  but you also get a healthier one.
