Wrigley's Big Red

For decades, Wrigley urged people everywhere to give their breath "long lasting freshness with Big Red." And thanks to a series of commercials featuring canoodling couples touting the stuff, this catchy jingle made Big Red's the unofficial gum for first dates. In 2008, the brand tapped Ne-Yo to record an updated version of the classic jingle.

Chiquita Banana

Despite Chiquita Brands International, Inc.'s colorful corporate history, one thing is for certain — their advertising department knows what they're doing. The company's original trademark logo, a ladylike banana donning a fruit-filled hat, debuted in 1944 — along with the ultra-catchy jingle: "I'm Chiquita Banana and I've come to say, bananas have to ripen in a certain way..." Just try getting that Calypso rhythm out of your head any time soon.

Kit Kat

"Gimme a break, gimme a break, break me off a piece of that Kit Kat Bar." Ah yes, long before Twix told people to "pause like you mean it," Kit Kat was marketed as the ultimate break-time snack. The jingle has become such a sensation since debuting in 1985 that it's been re-recorded by the likes of Shawn Colvin, Carrie Underwood, and Andrew W.K.

Klondike

The jingle that asks an eternal question —  "What would you do for a Klondike Bar?" The iconic series of commercials poses the question to various characters with the caveat that they do something outrageous (like make monkey sounds). Gary Coleman famously appeared in a Klondike bar ad, and in 2008 the company teamed up with Andy Samberg (of SNL and The Lonely Island) to use the slogan as part of a national video contest.

Chili's Grill & Bar Restaurant

The famed "Welcome to Chili's" jingle gave baby back ribs their day in the sun. The tune featured a duo of doo-wop-style singers crooning "I want my baby back... ribs." The pop-culture references associated with this jingle are countless — it was repeated everywhere from the Austin Powers movies to The Office. The restaurant chain even hired *NSYNC to record the song and star in an ad campaign.  Ironically, it recently was revealed that the writer of the jingle has never actually eaten the ribs!

Mentos

"Fresh goes better with Mentos fresh and full of life." Mentos debuted this catchy tune in their 1991 TV commercials. The ads featured beautiful people in sticky situations who popped a Mentos mint and were revitalized and ready to face the world once again. The original spot shows a woman whose long dress gets caught on her car door, but after enjoying a Mentos she rips off the rest of the hanging hem and sports a mini-dress.

Rice-a-Roni

This "San Francisco Treat" has been around since 1958, and the jingle is almost as old. Through the decades the melody has changed a bit, but the lyrics and spirit remain intact.

Folgers

Folgers turned their slogan, "The Best Part of Waking Up Is Folgers in Your Cup," into a jingle in 1984, and since then the song has been featured in nearly every commercial for the company. Some of the most famous ads with the jingle feature a student named Peter, who returns home from college for the holidays and reunites with his family over a pot of freshly brewed coffee. The concept was redone a number of times due to the popularity of the original.

Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine

The ultimate gift for the food-loving kid, the Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine looked like the beloved Peanut's character's doghouse (if it were more like an igloo) and could be used to make fresh sno-cones. Because "yum-yum fun" really is what it's all about.

Carvel (Fudgie the Whale) and Cookie Puss

These lovable ice-cream cake characters were developed by Carvel in the 1970s. Fudgie the Whale was particularly popular around Father's Day, when the cakes were promoted using the slogan, "For a whale of a Dad." And as the jingle proudly claims, "They're made fresh every day, 'cuz that's the Carvel way."

Wrigley's Doublemint Gum

Wrigley began using twins to market this classic chewing gum in 1939, playing off the idea that you should "Double your pleasure, double your fun, with Doublemint Gum." Since 1960, the commercials have featured twins (even some famous ones) chewing along to the upbeat Doublemint tune.

SpaghettiOs

Yet another iconic product of American canned foods, Campbell's first introduced SpaghettiOs in 1965. The short and sweet jingle, "Uh-oh, SpaghettiOs," was originally recorded by singer Jimmie Rodgers and has been used to market the pasta product to hungry children ever since.

Chicken Tonight

This '90s-era line of simmer sauces from Ragu (and now Unilever) was marketed through a series of commercials featuring actors flapping their arms like chickens along to the lyrics "I feel like chicken tonight." The jingle lives on, even though the product is long gone in the U.S. (It's still available in Australia and the United Kingdom.)

Nestlé's Quik

Known simply as Nesquik now, commercials for the chocolate milk powder featured a lovable set of characters developed and operated by ventriloquist Jimmy Nelson from 1953 to 1965. Danny, human dummy would call out "N-E-S-T-L-E-S, Nestlé's makes the very best" and Farfel the Dog would reply "Choc-late."

Oscar Mayer

Oscar Mayer has bestowed not one but two unforgettable jingles upon the masses. The first, of course, is the Oscar Mayer Weiner song (circa 1965) and the second is for their bologna (circa 1974). So whether you'd "Love to be an Oscar Mayer Weiner" or would prefer to note that your "Bologna has a first name, it's O-S-C-A-R," the choice is yours.
