Now You Can Order Food From Danny Meyer's Maialino Aboard A Delta Flight

Just because you have to endure airline food doesn't mean it has to be unbearable. Delta Air Lines is continuing its partnership with Danny Meyer to bring the food of Union Square Hospitality Group restaurants aboard Delta flights.

The latest restaurant to join is Maialino. Passengers will be able to order off the Delta One winter menu from Dec. 1 through Feb. 28. The food will be available on certain trans-Atlantic routes to Europe as well as flights from New York to Los Angeles and San Francisco.

"For me, Italian cuisine is about ingredients and I think we have really captured that cooking philosophy for Delta fliers," Maialino executive chef John Pfeifer said in a statement. "The simplicity of the dishes allow for the ingredients to become the star of the show, so we have been very thoughtful how each ingredient is sourced, using many of the local New York farmers and purveyors Maialino has collaborated with since the restaurants opening."

Menu highlights include prosciutto e mozzarella; braciole di manzo; and cavatelli con salsiccia di maiale.

Past Delta One collaboration menus came from North End Grill, Union Square Events, Union Square Café, and Marta.
