Sadly, Fried Chicken Oreos Are Not A Real Thing

We have Watermelon Oreos, Limeade Oreos, and Birthday Cake Oreos, so why not fried chicken-flavored Oreos? The Internet seemed to think it was possible. We got excited too when we saw the realistic-looking package of Fried Chicken Oreos floating around on Instagram. But Oreo says it's not real.

As one blogger pointed out, it's even pretty obvious just by looking at the slightly-blurry label, that the "new Oreos" were actually just a hack Photoshop job. Oreo confirmed our suspicions and said "the flavor you are referring to is in fact not real."

We were actually concerned about how well the greasy and crispy flavor of fried chicken would transfer to Oreo crème. But Oreo has demonstrated that they are capable of thinking of wacky flavors. We would love to see turtle-flavored Oreos, strawberry cheesecake Oreos, and above all..."Moreos," an invention dreamt up by a fan, which would allow you to scoop unlimited Oreo crème onto your cookies.
