Brian Felley at San Francisco's BIG takes fresh ginger, bourbon, and winter spices for a cold-weather take on the whiskey ginger.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 ounces bourbon (Cyrus Noble)
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/4 ounce allspice dram
  • 1/4 ounce simple syrup
  • 1/2 ounce Cocci Americano
  • 2 dashes Booker's Bitters
  • Soda

DIRECTIONS

Muddle ginger. Combine first 6 ingredients in a shaker, shake, and strain. Top with soda and garnish with a Meyer lemon twist.
