Every week, we take a look at some of the restaurants that have opened or will soon open across the country. Here’s this week’s roundup:
SliderBar: The burger chain’s third location will open tomorrow in Berkeley, Eater reported. The burger joint has a few new menu items, including a slider called the Red & Gold, which has corned beef with “gold sauce” and sauerkraut, and is dedicated to the 49ers.
Standard Market Grill: The Lincoln Park eatery is now open, according to a release, serving burgers, artisan pizza, sandwiches, salads, and featured dishes such as the Buddha bowl, which has brown rice, peanut ginger glaze, vegetables, toasted peanuts, and green onions. The food is made in Westmont’s Standard market and is brought to the Standard Market Grill daily.
Westward & Little Gull: Skillet founder Josh Henderson will open Westward on September 3rd, according to Eater, serving dishes such as Neah Bay octopus Bolognese and braised Oregon lamb shoulder. Little Gull, the oyster bar next door, will open on the same day as well.
Patpong Road: The new bar is now open, bringing snacks and cocktails inspired by Thailand’s night market, according to a release. Expect skewered pork, chicken and shrimp, pad thai, drunken rice noodles, and cocktails such as “Pat That,” a whiskey and lemongrass ginger ale.
Newport Group’s New Restaurant: Newport Group, which owns Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort, plans to open a 150-seat, casual restaurant in the center of Newport Pier, according to a release. The waterfront restaurant will open in late fall.
Sweetness Bakeshop & Café: The bakery will open tomorrow, with a grand opening party this weekend, according to Miami New Times. The first hundred customers get a free four-pack of cupcakes. Everyone gets free coffee and Nestle chocolate milk, as well as a chance to snag giveaways and enter raffles.
M Café and Bar: The Italian restaurant is now open, Eater reported, serving pasta, pizza, seafood, and more. The final menu is not served yet, but look out for the future bellini brunch menu.
Stillhouse: The burger and bar place is set to open on August 30th, according to a release. The restaurant’s cocktail program features moonshine infused with local ingredients, including Vidalia onions, Georgia peaches, watermelon, and mint. Aside from burgers, Stillhouse also serves Coca-Cola teriyaki moonshine marinated chicken, lump crab cakes, moonshine mussels, fried oysters, and more.
Fresh Thymes Eatery: The community-supported restaurant, led by chef Christine Ruch, opens tomorrow in Boulder, according to Eater. The casual restaurant features seasonal ingredients, such as Munson Farms corn salad.
Shanghai Social Club: The Shanghai street food-inspired restaurant is now open in Allston, according to Shanghai Social Club’s Facebook page, serving steamed bun, lemongrass lobster roll, noodle bowls, skewers, and more.
