Grand Velas Riviera Maya
This October, five of Mexico’s most lauded chefs will spotlight innovative Mexican cuisine with “The Best of Mexico Riviera Maya” to be held Oct. 5 - 9 at the Grand Velas Riviera Maya beach resort in Quintana Roo. The prestigious event will feature 10-course tasting menus of original dishes honoring the richness of Mexican cuisine through the use of ingredients, seasonings, and techniques from the country’s different regions.
“We want to give our guests an unforgettable memory of Mexico through the best of its gastronomy,” said Rodolfo González Munguía, the resort’s managing director. “The event complements what we call our international culinary tour as we feature cuisines of the world in our Grand Velas gourmet restaurants.” Two chefs from those restaurants will serve as hosts of the event: executive chef of the resort, Michel Mustière, a Maître Cuisinier de France; and Chef Ricardo de la Vega of Frida, honored as one of the 50 Best Restaurants in Mexico. Chef Alejandro Heredia, recognized as the best Mexican chef of the 20th century, will be named ambassador of Frida restaurant during the Best of Mexico event.
Grand Velas Riviera Maya sets new standards in the all-inclusive hotel category with exceptional dining.
