INGREDIENTS

For the drink:

  • 1 bottle Thorny Rose Red Blend
  • 16 ounces fresh brewed black tea
  • 8 ounces cognac
  • 4 ounces vanilla bean/cinnamon syrup
  • 1 orange, cut into half-moons
  • 2 lemons, cut into half-moons
  • 3 organic plums, cut into half-moons
  • Club soda, to taste

For the vanilla bean/cinnamon stick syrup:

  • 12 ounces water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 scraped vanilla bean
  • 12 ounces sugar

DIRECTIONS

For the drink:

Combine all ingredients and chill overnight. Serve in a large punch bowl with club soda.

For the vanilla bean/cinnamon stick syrup:

Heat the water to boiling point, immediately reduce to medium-low heat, add cinnamon sticks, and
simmer for 15 minutes, add the paste from 1 scraped vanilla bean and 12 ounces sugar. Dissolve and simmer for an additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cool and bottle. Makes 16 ounces of syrup. You can use the remaining syrup from your sangria preparation to mix with club soda for those at your party who do not partake in alcohol. Enjoy.
