Restaurant Workers Tell Robber To 'Stop Joking'

If robbery isn't this guy's calling in life, it's safe to assume that he won't be headed back to work anytime soon. When Zackary Dexter Pace clocked out of his shift for the day at Jack's restaurant in Pinson, Ala., last week he decided that he wasn't done working for his money, reported Al.com.

Pace left the restaurant where he worked only to return a few moments later, but this time in a different uniform. Donning a black mask with the eyes cut out and wielding a handgun, Pace demanded money from his co-workers in what many took to be a joke, reported Al.com. But Pace wasn't laughing.

"The employees recognized him immediately by his eyes and the poor attempt he made at trying to disguising his voice," Chief Deputy Randy Christian said in an email to The Huffington Post. "In fact, at first they told him to stop joking before they realized he was serious."

But Pace made one monstrous mistake, leading to his eventual arrest, when he returned the following Monday to visit with co-workers. Police were immediately tipped off and Pace was arrested at the scene according to Al.com.

He was charged with first degree robbery for the undisclosed amount of money that he took, according to The Huffington Post.
