The best part of this broccoli is the char is receives from the grill- the dark brown crispy edges of grilled broccoli will make you re-think the vegetable all together. The preparation and seasonings are simple so you don't miss out on the true broccoli flavor.Be patient here, they need to spend 8-10 minutes of the gril to become tender; don't be afraid of charred marks as they are full of flavor. Dark brown is not burnt.

Ingredients
  • 2 broccoli florets, washed, trimmed, and cut into halves or quarters (keep them big)
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly cracked pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • maldon salt of fleur de sel, for garnish
Directions
  1. In a bowl, toss broccoli with oil, salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and oil the grates.
  3. Place broccoli on grill and cook until charred and tender.
  4. Remove from heat and sprinkle with red pepper flakes, Maldon, and an extra drizzle of olive oil.
