Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoon coconut butter, also called coconut cream concentrate, softed
  • 2 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoon almond butter, or other seed butter of choice
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoon pure maple syrup
  • grated zest of one orange
  • 2 tablespoon unsweetened shredded coconut
Directions
  1. Place the coconut butter, coconut oil, almond butter, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl and stir with a large spoon until smooth.
  2. Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, pure maple syrup, and grated zest of one orange ingredients to the base and mix thoroughly.
  3. Place the mixture in the freezer for about 10 minutes, until it’s firm enough to form into balls. Combine the shredded coconut for the coating with the reserved orange zest. Using your hands, roll the mixture into 1-inch balls, then roll each ball in the coating.
  4. Set the truffles on a plate and refrigerate to solidify. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 6 weeks.
  5. Serve cold.
