Ingredients

  • 14  Ounces  (one can) sweetened condensed milk
  • ¼  Cup  miniature chocolate chips
  • Butter, for rolling
  • Sprinkles, for rolling

Directions

Pour the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips into a small saucepan and place the pan over medium-high heat.

Stirring constantly, cook the sweetened condensed milk until thickened. You’ll know it’s ready when you draw a line through the sweetened condensed milk and it takes a few seconds for the line to fill itself back in.

Pour the cooked sweetened condensed milk into a wide, shallow dish (like a heat-proof baking dish) and allow it to cool.

When the sweetened condensed milk has cooled, rub a small amount of butter on your hands (to prevent sticking) and then roll the sweetened condensed milk into small balls. Roll each ball into chocolate sprinkles.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Chocolate Shopping Tip

There are so many varieties of chocolate on the shelves today it can be overwhelming to pick one – as a general rule of thumb, the fewer the ingredients, the better the chocolate.

Chocolate Cooking Tip

When melting chocolate, use a double boiler and stir occasionally to avoid scorching chocolate at the bottom of the bowl.
