These savory chicken and apple dumplings use store bought wonton wrappers. Simply combine the ingredients seal the dumplings, boil, and enjoy!
Combine the chicken, apples, onion, cilantro, apple juice, ginger, salt, and pepper in a bowl, mix well to combine. Lay the wonton wrapper on a lightly floured surface. Add a small spoonful of the filling. Beat the egg with the water to make an egg wash. Brush the eggs of the wrapper with the egg wash, and bring the edges of the wrapper together with little folds to securely seal the dumplings. There should be 3 to 5 pleats in your dumpling. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add your dumplings and simmer for about 3 minutes. The dumplings should float to the top when done. Serve with soy sauce.
