Paula Deen Launches A Line Of Butter (Seriously)

If someone were to ask you to take a guess as to what food Paula Deen would come out with a line of, you'd probably jokingly reply, "Butter?" And guess what? You'd be right.

According to a release, "America's favorite cook, restaurateur, author and entrepreneur" Paula Deen, who very publicly announced her struggle with diabetes earlier this year, has just launched her very own line of retail products called Paula Deen Foods, to be sold at Walgreens and Walmart (of course).

The tortilla chips are all-natural and come in golden corn and jalapeño varieties, and the compound butters come in varieties including garden herb, sweet citrus zest, lemon dill, and Southern Grillin'. They're apparently meant to be added to a dish at the end of the cooking process, to give it that extra fatty sheen.

"My new products are coming to y'all," Deen says on the website, which also presents her line of chocolates, which were launched on QVC last year.

A portion of the proceeds from sales of these products will be donated to The Bag Lady Foundation, an organization she helped found that helps out women and families in need.
