Today: Get Your Election Day Girl Scout Cookies

The Girl Scouts of Greater New York are spreading Election Day cheer by selling cookies on a special preview day today for $4 a box in various locations throughout New York. That means you'll be able to eat all the Thin Mints and Trefoils to your heart's content, before official cookie season starts this winter. You'll also be able to sample the brand-new flavor this year, called "Rah Rah Raisins" made with whole grain oats, yogurt chunks, and raisins (yum... healthy cookies!).

Girl Scouts will be selling these cookies all day in corporate lobbies in Midtown, the Financial District, and Downtown Brooklyn. Check out the map here. Hurry, because most of the locations will stop selling cookies in the afternoon. All proceeds will benefit the New York Girl Scout Programs.

If you miss your chance to grab some cookies this afternoon, the girls will be out in force soon. Orders will be collected next month, and cookies will be distributed in late winter/early spring.
